Networking in Christ

The largest business networking organization in the world has about 5000 Chapters and 100,000 members. Annually, they have generated nearly 5 million referrals valued at close to 2 billion dollars! They do not have chapters for those seeking employment.

Imagine what a similar networking organization consisting entirely of Believers could do to help both employed Christians and unemployed Christians with the power of prayer, for the benefit of the Body, for the Glory of God!

Networking in Christ is a community of independent business networking organizations (chapters) that exist for the support of Christians in business, Christians seeking employment and the fulfillment of The Great Commission.

Open Available Talent Chapters: Anyone seeking employment may join one of our Available Talent Chapters. Membership in NIC AT chapters is offered free of charge. However, members are asked to sign a document that says when they get a job, if they feel NIC was significant in their obtaining the job, they will consider making a gift to NIC of 10% of their first months pay. It would not be a required payment for services received but only a way of saying thank you for the support. Click on the above AGENDA tab to see a typical agenda.
Exclusive Business Referral Chapters: Exclusive Business Referral Chapters allow only one member from each unique Area of Service—i.e. only one Chiropractor, one Life Insurance Rep, one Printer, etc. Exclusive Business Referral Chapters usually meet for a meal at a restaurant. Exclusive Chapters require a one time Registration Fee of $25.00 and an Annual Membership Fee of $125.00. Click on the above AGENDA tab to see a typical agenda.
Church Sponsored Business Referral Chapters:Church Sponsored Chapters Business Referral Chapters are all “Open Chapters,” which means that the chapters allow more than one member from the same Area of Service. They also do not require a Registration Fee or Annual Membership Fee. All Open Chapters are sponsored by churches and meet at the church that is sponsoring the chapter.
- NOTE: Although included in our online listings of chapters and chapter members, Church Sponsored Chapters do not enjoy all of the benefits available to the fee-based, Exclusive Chapters. These benefits include Biblically based educational programs, full NIC participation and chapter visits. However, individual chapter members may receive full NIC benefits if they opt to pay an annual Participation Fee of $116.
Chapter Visits: NIC encourages members who have paid their Annual Membership Fee or Participation Fee to regularly visit other chapters and to fully participate in networking opportunities, provided their particular Area of Service is not represented in any Exclusive Chapter they choose to visit. Members of Employment Support Chapters may visit any business referral chapter up to 3 three times. We are one body and the more employed members of NIC that know you and your needs, the more opportunities the Lord has to work for your good and His glory!
Funding of Chapter Expense:To provide sufficient funding for most expenses and some extra curricular activities, NIC Corporate donates a portion of every Membership Fee and Participation Fee to an expense fund established by each chapter. Currently Exclusive Independent Chapters receive $25.00 per new and renewed member and Open Church Sponsored Chapters receive $10.00 of every Participation Fee.
Associate Memberships: Each chapter has the option to accept Associate Members. Associate members do not currently attest to the NIC Statement of Faith. Although they may participate fully in chapter networking, they may not serve in NIC leadership positions. Name badges worn by Associate Members identify them accordingly and when they do their business commercial they are asked to introduce themselves as an Associate. We have included this option with the following hope and belief:
- Associate Members will be open and drawn to God’s saving Grace.
- Many will be more likely to check out Christianity at a business networking group than a local church.
- They will experience the love of the Lord through NIC, eventually surrender their lives to His Lordship and join a local church.

Networking & Fellowship: Meaningful fellowship, business referrals and Christ-centered business education.
Chapter Listings: Listings by city of chapter meetings and members, including meeting time and location, member names, areas of service and contact information. This includes both Exclusive Independent Chapters and Open Church Sponsored Chapters.
Free Downloads: Suggested forms and procedures downloadable for free from our corporate site. This includes graphic files for signs, referral forms, name badges, etc. It also includes suggested job descriptions for Chapter President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Prayer Coordinator. On our website RESOURCES page we hope to have everything anyone would need to successfully start and operate an NIC Chapter.
National Exposure: As funding permits, local and nationwide promotion of NIC chapters and member businesses.
Quarterly City-wide Meetings: All qualified members have the opportunity to join together in fellowship as one NIC Body quarterly for a breakfast, lunch or dinner meeting. Although informal networking may spontaneously occur, the focus of this quarterly meeting is not on networking. Formal networking and passing of business referrals is encouraged only at chapter meetings. The focus of our quarterly gatherings is on fellowship and education as it pertains to doing business the Lord’s way. Respected Christian business leaders within the local business community are usually our featured speakers.

Online Business Directory: An online business directory categorized alphabetically by state, city and product or service. More information forthcoming, as time and funding permits.

Because NIC is in its infancy, we believe it will grow to maturity through the suggestions of its members. Your suggestions for modification of our program and member benefits are always welcome. Our prayer and belief is that the Lord will work through His Body to make NIC the most powerful networking organization in the world!

Membership Fees

Exclusive Independent Chapters

Annual Membership: $125.00
Registration: $25 - This is a one time administration fee and is not required annually.

Church Sponsored Chapters

Annual Membership: Free
There is a $50.00 volitional materials fee that covers the cost of a name badge and business card portfolio.

NOTE: All NIC Chapters agree to nationwide standardized fees.

Strength Through Prayer

NIC meetings are bathed in prayer. Prior to every meeting, volunteer intercessors pray for the upcoming meeting, for members and member clients. All meetings start and end with prayer. In addition to very fruitful business networking, NIC chapters offer an opportunity for very meaningful fellowship and do much to strengthen the unity of the local Body of Christ. We believe that prayer is the immune system of the Body of Christ and that unbelief is the disease. To become a healthy, vibrant and fruitful Body of Christ, we must pray with and for one another!
